Lenona Winter
I am a plein air oil painter. Focusing on the effects of light and atmosphere, my goal is to paint my response to a landscape. I’m painting an emotional reality as well as a physical likeness of the subject. I am moved by the work of early twentieth century California Impressionists and strive to carry on their tradition. Living in Sonoma County is an outdoor painter’s dream. I find infinite inspiration in the pacific coastline, luscious vineyards and rural countryside. I am also an avid still life artist, working directly from life in my studio.
